Top Wedding Day Regrets
/Top Wedding Day Regrets
When you are looking back on your wedding day, weeks, months, years from now, you will hopefully be able to say to yourself, “that was the best day ever” and not “what if I had done this, or had done that.”
Below are some of the top wedding day regrets from real couples so you can prevent them from creeping up on you after your wedding day.
Falling down the Pinterest hole
Pinterest can be both an incredible and overstimulating platform full of wedding inspiration. You can literally find thousands of ideas for your big day. While this can be a good thing, it can also be dangerous if you fall down the rabbit hole of decor, hairstyles and dress ideas.
Overdoing it with the Pinning of Pinterest, can create an aesthetic that feels overwhelming and in-cohesive. Instead of saying yes to every Pin you see, bring a few of your favorites to your planner and ask them how to incorporate similar or even unique ideas for your wedding day; this is a much better route to take to allow your creativity to shine.
Worrying about what others think
It seems obvious, but don’t forget that this is YOUR wedding. You should have to worry if Aunt Edna will approve of your centerpieces or if Uncle Bob will like the signature cocktail. All that matters is that you and your fiancé(e) like the centerpieces and the cocktails. We’re not encouraging you to disregard the comfort and enjoyment of your guests completely. After all, we always want to create the best wedding experience for each of your wedding guests. But there’s no need to go so far out of your way that it makes planning unenjoyable.
Not hiring a wedding planner
Obviously, we couldn’t leave this one out. But look, it’s completely understandable if you want to plan your wedding yourself. However, one of the biggest misconceptions about planners is that we’re going to overcharge you. This is not true. In fact, we’re here to help you save! If you tell us your budget, we can easily find vendors that will work within your constraints. We also know the industry well and are all too familiar with what the more expensive aspects of weddings are. We are hired to help you have the perfect day within your budget, not rob you blind. We’re also here to help on the day of the wedding. The last thing you’ll want to worry about is checking the time or wondering where the bouquets are. Leave that to us, we’ll take care of every last detail and any mishaps so you can unwind and focus on one thing—getting married!
